I am humbled by all the support I received this past 15 months and these past couple of days. I received numerous care packages while deployed and each one was filled with lots of goodies and useful items as well as many letters of encouragement and well wishes. I have many friends here at the Los Angeles Times and am pleased to be able to enjoy their company again.
