Yesterday, Evernote launched an update for its Hello app that allows users to take a photograph of a business card, much like LinkedIn Card Munch does. The app gathers data from profiles on LinkedIn or Facebook that connect to the same email address. It stops short of connecting the user to the business cardholder on LinkedIn, however.
The card-scanning functionality had been available only to premium subscribers.
