Eric Mika Joins Hollywood Reporter
The Hollywood Reporter is getting Eric Mika in the newly created slot of Senior Vice President, Publishing Director. Mika’s currently Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Nielsen Business Media’s Film and Performing Arts Group, which owns THR.
He’ll be in charge of the general management for sales, marketing and editorial for THR, as well as ancillary products, events, licensing business and partnerships. Trying to create excitement around the Reporter as a brand isn’t a job for the feeble.
He managed the UK bureau and global operations and was responsible for all aspects of the publication’s international efforts, He’d also been at Variety, where he oversaw business operations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.
And he’s an NYU journalism grad.
