If you’re at all familiar with Epic Meal Time then you know that these guys are crazy about bacon and bacon and more bacon.  They’re taking their love of bacon off the YouTube screen and bringing it to their fans with a series of new bacon-flavored products including Bacon Flavored Salt and Bacon Flavored Spread.

These new products will join the bacon lovers’ collection at J&D Foods, which already includes everything from Bacon Lip Balm to Bacon Popcorn and even Baconlube (yes, we said Baconlube).  J&D Foods was started by Justin and Dave, two regular guys that love bacon.  Justin and Dave’s love for bacon and the guy’s from Epic Meal Time’s love for bacon make the partnership perfect!

Brad Murphy, Chief Revenue Officer at Revison3 (which signed Epic Meal Time earlier this year), told Joshua Cohen of Tubefilter, “The partnership between J&D’s and Epic Meal Time is a match made in bacon heaven.  The product list for J&D’s Foods, might as well be a wish list for an Epic Meal Time viewer.”  Although most people (hopefully) wouldn’t actually go and cook and eat the dishes they see on Epic Meal Time, they would surely be inspired to cook with an Epic Meal Time branded bacon-flavored ingredient.  People love Epic Meal Time and, lets be real here, who doesn’t love bacon?

The new products debuted in this year’s Epic Meal Time Thanksgiving special—Turbaconepicentipede, a quail inside a Cornish hen inside a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey, covered in bacon strips on a bacon base with bacon salt and bacon spread, of course.

Murphy of Revision3 says that within the first few weeks, J&D moved thousands of units of the Epic Meal Time products, even beating out the Bacon-flavored lube (surprise! surprise!).  He says, “Fans are asking for more custom flavors.  There’s definitely opportunity for more Epic Meal Time branded products in the future.”

Over the summer it was reported that hundreds of YouTube partners are now making over $100,000 per year.  While some of this money comes from advertising dollars, partners are also making a good deal of money from selling branded merchandise and doing promotions for products and brands.  The new Epic Meal Time branded bacon flavored products are a perfect example of how money can be made indirectly from online video.

Are you a fan of bacon?  How would you like to get Bacon Flavored Spread or Bacon Flavored Salt in your Christmas stocking this year?
