This week’s fastest rising iPhone app is Pangea Software’s No. 13 Air Wings. Released on March 16, the game is an aerial multiplayer battle game, that uses paper airplanes rather than real ones. The game features five different types of paper and toy airplane and six multiplayer levels. It monetizes through $0.99 in-app purchases for extra airplanes and levels. Air Wings also has a voice chat feature and Game Center leaderboards. GREE’s first U.S. created game, Zombie Jombie makes the charts in the No. 7 position, a spot its held fairly consistently since its release.
On the iPad, the fastest gaining app is from home improvement store Lowe’s, with the digital version of its in-house magazine Lowe’s Creative Ideas climbing 28 spots to reach the No. 19 spot on our charts. The app was released on Jan. 4, 2012 and includes instructions and video walkthroughs for a variety of craft projects.
