Elle.com promoted three yesterday, upping columnist R. Eric Thomas to a full-time role as senior writer. Thomas, a playwright, began a hybrid humor/politics column, Eric Reads the News, for Elle.com in July of last year.
Here is Thomas’ own account of how that came to be, from an interview in The Washington Post:
