Electric Type To Release Jungle Book iPad App

Digital publisher Electric Type has launched an iPad adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic The Jungle Book.

For the app, called The Jungle Book: The Story of Mowgli and Shere Khan, Electric Type has adapted the original Kipling story into a kid-friendly, seven-chapter version. Australian illustrator Nigel Buchanan has created drawings and animations for the app.

Emmy-nominated voice actor Rich Orlow reads a version for the “Read to Me” option. The app also has sound effects, music, and interactive features.
