Ectaco Introduces eReader For Students

Ectaco has a new eReader available for students and schools called the jetBook K-12.

As the name suggests, the eReader is designed for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. It comes with a number of features that encourage learning including: dictionaries, translation tools, an electronic SAT and ACT prep course, crossword puzzles, scientific and accounting calculators, math and science reference books, an interactive course in US History and Facts and an interactive Periodic Table. The book also comes loaded with books from all of the state reading lists.

The device has a 5″ reflective TFT screen and includes speech recognition, an audiobook player and a voice feedback system. Ectaco announced the eReader at CES today, and plans to begin implementing it in schools by the end of Q1 2011.
