East Village Journalist Bar Gets Second Lease On Life
Good news: Legendary East Village bar/journalist magnet Mona’s has come through after all. Despite our fears back in December that the upcoming sale of the bar whose bathroom has seen a million Post metro reporters pass out in it would be gone… Mona’s is staying.
Owner Bob Corton has officially agreed to transfer ownership of Mona’s, along with sister bar Sophie’s, to his brother and partner Richard Corton.
We think we’ll raise a pint to it later this week.
