Donald Trump Wonders Why NBC Hasn’t Fired Chuck Todd (Again)

Calls Todd "sleepy eyes."

If it were up to Donald Trump, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd would’ve been given his signature line long ago. Thankfully for Todd, that’s not his decision to make.

The GOP presidential candidate, who was dumped by NBC in late June for his disparaging remarks regarding Mexicans, claims to “hear” that the Sunday show host “will be fired like a dog.”

Trump, most likely provoked by yet another MTP segment questioning his longterm legitimacy as a candidate (as well as Todd likening him to infamous segregationist George Wallace), tweeted on Sunday night:

This isn’t the first time Trump has thrown a tantrum over Todd and Meet the Press panels questioning his seriousness. The embittered real estate mogul has a history of name-calling — having labelled Todd a “moron” and “sleepy eyes” back in January.

NBC has since severed all ties with Trump — dropping Miss Universe and firing Trump as host of The Apprentice. Meet the Press continues to air weekly from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sundays.
