LucasFilm and Disney are not happy with the GQ’s Amy Schumer/Star Wars cover and photo spread. In a tweet, the official Star Wars account huffed and puffed “Lucasfilm and Disney didn’t approve, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner.”
For its latest issue, GQ had Schumer pose in Princess Leia’s bikini and photographed her in bed with Star Wars characters C-3PO and R2-D2.
It was all in good fun and it’s a little ridiculous that the Star Wars people took offense. Star Wars is a movie about swords made of lasers, space ships and things called Wookiees. It’s not exactly a serious thing.
