Disney Games Taps Adam Sussman
Adam Sussman has been named svp of publishing for Disney Games.
Sussman, who will be undertaking his second stint at Disney, was most recently vp of worldwide publishing for Electronic Arts Mobile. At EA, Sussman was integral in the company’s success in creating hit iPhone gaming applications.
Sussman’s arrival at Disney comes following a recent shakeup within the Disney Interactive Media Group. On Monday (Jan. 24), the group endured significant layoffs, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And recently Disney shut down its Vancouver production unit, Propaganda Games and reduced staff at its Austin, Texas–based Junction Point studio.
It’s possible that going forward Disney may be focusing less on console games, such as the recently released Nintendo Wii title Epic
