Diptic, Pyramid Run, Guess the Character! and more on this week's top free iOS Apps
This week’s free iOS app charts come with a little controversy as two legally dubious games take the top spots on the iPhone and iPad charts.
This week’s No. 1 free iPhone app is Pyramid Run, a game heavily “inspired” by Imangi Studio’s mega-hit Temple Run. Credited to Zhihong Li, aka Magic Bone, many users have criticized the game for its jittery graphics, frequent crashes and intrusive advertising. Meanwhile, this week’s No. 1 iPad app is JanduSoft’s Guess the Character!, a guessing game that challenges players to identify well-known characters and celebrities based off of likeness made with Nintendo’s Mii characters.
