Gannett Newspaper Creates High School News App
The Desert Sun in Palm Springs is still waiting for a news app from parent company Gannett (it’s due shortly). But in the meantime, they have very ingeniously launched something called CCNews.
Designed to keep readers up to date on the latest happenings at Cathedral City High School, the app is the brainchild of teacher Matt Hamilton, long recognized locally as an academic pioneer of all things digital. Per executive editor Greg Burton’s recent announcement:
Available on Apple or Android platforms, CCNews is written and produced by students in Hamilton’s Digital Arts Technology Academy.
