DC Media Dominates Mediaite’s 2014 ‘Very BEST in Media’ Awards

Mediaite-LogoMediaite released its 2014 “Very BEST in Media” awards this afternoon, and without a doubt, the journalists of Washington won the day.

From CNN’s Jake Tapper being named “Best Cable News Host” for his show The Lead, to Fox News Sunday‘s Chris Wallace as the “Best Sunday Show Moderator” — across the board, DC’s newspeople dominated the list.

As the website points out, the selections were not based on ratings or popularity, but who, in their opinion, “did important, smart, or entertaining work, Nielsen be damned.”

Among the other honorees mentioned by Mediaite were CBS White House Correspondent, Mark Knoller, for “Best Media Twitter Account”; The Washington Post‘s T. Rees Shapiro for “Best Reporting”; and Ta-Nehisi Coates of The Atlantic for “Best Print/Web Columnist.”

A big FishbowlDC congrats to all!
