Remote wedding planners will have one more tool for keeping all their tulle (and lace and beads) on one page: David’s Bridal today announced a social network for brides called My Event.
The service connects to Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter to form a planning page where brides can pick out the perfect gown and bridesmaids can argue over which dress is the least flattering.
With Pinterest-style inspiration boards called “mood boards” for setting the theme – and message boards, a budget planner, and a task list for getting things done – the bride can involve her party and communicate to a wedding consultant what it is that she really wants.
David’s Bridal is known for being affordable and friendly to women of all sizes.
