David Rothkopf is out as editor and CEO of Foreign Policy Group, a position he had held since 2012. The news was first broken by Politico’s Hadas Gold, who reported that the decision was one that surprised staff, according to a source.
It was prompted in part by Rothkopf’s competing roles. “While running FP Rothkopf also continued heading up his own international advisory firm Garten Rothkopf, which a separate tipster suggested to me led to some complications with his FP job,” wrote Gold.
