The power of Instagram and a good idea.
Meet freelance Brazilian journalist Daniel Bacchieri. Using Instagram as his song sheet, he started chronicling the myriad of street musicians around the globe. Here’s his most recent post, at press time.
The project is self-funded. However, that will hopefully soon change. Per a great write-up on the Knight Foundation-University of Texas at Austin blog, the São Paulo-based content creator is one of two recipients selected for endowed participation in the 2017 “Entrepreneurship in Journalism” program at the Tow-Knight Center at the City University of New York (CUNY).
