Pete Donohue, who previously worked for The New York Daily News for more than 20 years, is joining the Transportation Workers Union. Donohue resigned from the paper in April.
During his time at the Daily News Donohue handled the transportation beat, which means he is now working for an organization that he used to cover.
Jim Gannon, a TWU spokesperson, told The New York Post this wasn’t a big deal. “We didn’t hire him because he’s a sycophant,” said Gannon.
Donahue begins his new role June 1.
