So, you thought YouTube was good enough as it is right now? Think again, as it is currently testing out a cool new feature that will personalize your YouTube experience. The new feature will let you create a personal start up page for your YouTube account.
The new feature is currently in beta stage and is being rolled out to selected YouTube members. But if you want to try it out, all you have to do is to login to your YouTube account and opt in the beta mode by clicking on this link.
But before you do that, here’s what you can expect from the new YouTube personalized homepage:
Video recommendations based on what you have viewed in the past. YouTube’s automated algorithms will analyze videos that you have favorited and viewed, and come up with a recommended list of videos to help select which videos to watch.
Latest from you subscriptions YouTube changed the layout that displays newly added videos from users you’ve subscribed to. The new personalized homepage will let you see videos from your three most recently updated subscriptions.
Lets you stay updated on the activities of your YouTube buddies and what videos they are buzzing about. Your friends will also received updates about your YouTube activities, whether you are favoriting, rating or uploading videos. You can control your activities that will be displayed on your buddy’s homepage as well as in your friends’ feeds. To do this, click on the “Account” link->Channel design. Or you can just turn on or off the features that you don’t want others to see from your homepage.
The new YouTube personalized homepage would also feature a new dashboard that displays stats about your inbox, your uploads, total views on your videos, number of honours and many more.
