Crackle's Woke Up Dead Is Alive (and Doing Well)
The combination of Napoleon Dynamite and Newman is proving to be a hit maker on the Web.
On Oct. 5, Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Web video outlet Crackle.com launched Woke Up Dead—which is described as a “live-action zombie comedy.” The new show, which stars Dynamite headliner Jon Heder, along with Wayne Knight (Seinfeld’s Newman) and Jean Smart (24, Designing Women), has generated 1.4 million streams since its debut last week.
Crackle has employed a unique scheduling strategy to promote Woke Up Dead.
