Crackle Grabs Rights to 'Urban Wolf'

Sony’s Web video hub Crackle has acquired the rights to the French produced Web series Urban Wolf.

The show, which depicts an American student on the run in Paris, first made its debut at Comic-Con in 2009. Subsequently Urban Wolf was recognized by several industry associations and festivals, including winning Best Drama in the Web series category of the 2009 Independent Television Festival.

Crackle plans to feature all 15 Urban Wolf episodes from May 13–27. The action drama is the latest acquisition by the male-targeted property, which recently snagged the sci-fi series Trenches, which was originally produced by ABC’s now defunct Stage 9 studio.
