CQ Roll Call's New Approps Hire

The announcement says Hallerman “brings experience providing in-depth coverage of energy and environmental policy sharply focused on climate change and the coal industry.”

She has tracked relevant appropriations subcommittees and wrote about the spending battles involving the Environmental Protection Agency, the Energy Department and the administration. She broke stories about cost overruns at the Energy Department’s “clean coal” project.

Once at CQ Roll Call… Hallerman will cover appropriations as part of Paul Page’s economic and finance team and work closely with CQ’s veteran approps reporter, Kerry Young.
