CQ Roll Call's Benenson Resigns

After 30 years, senior political analyst Bob Benenson has decided to leave CQ Roll Call.

Benenson joined Congressional Quarterly in 1981 as a writer for Editorial Research Reports.  He went on to become CQ‘s longest-running politics editor, from 1998 until the company’s merger with Roll Call in 2009. He worked as a politics reporter for the CQ Weekly Report from 1985 through 1993, legislative reporter from 1993 to 1995, a legislative editor in 1997, and as a writer, editor and manager at the presidential conventions of 1988, 1996, 2004 and 2008.
