The New York Post reports that CPXi has purchased three sites— Celebuzz, The Frisky and The Superficial—from the private equity firm M/C Partners.
This is the second large sale from M/C Partners in the past couple weeks. In late December, the firm sold SpinMedia music sites Spin, Vibe and Stereogum to The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group.
CPXi (sometimes referred to as CPX Interactive) was founded in 2000. It mainly operates as an ad marketing company, but does publish three sites: PressRoomVIP, HipHopMyWay and Warped Speed.
