Welcome back to another edition of FishbowlNY’s weekly Cover Battle. This round features Entertainment Weekly taking on The New York Times Magazine.

The above is one of four EW covers honoring AMC’s The Walking Dead. We chose this one because it reminded us of how Glenn used to be tough, and now he’s just sad all the time. Perhaps having zombies constantly trying to eat you does that to a person, but still. We miss the old Glenn.

The New York Times Magazine, meanwhile, went with an illustration of something far more serious.
