CourseSmart, the eTextbook distributor that already makes eTextbooks available on PCs and the iPhone, has created this awesome video showing how students will use tablet computers to interact with the company’s eTextbooks. The company will be at CES this week talking up this concept.
If only school had been this cool before? As you’ll see, this concept of textbooks includes all the traditional stuff–turning pages, highlighting–and then all kinds of other multimedia activities: videos, links, interactivity, communication. While this blogger basically weighed in against too many enhancements getting in the way of plain old reading-for-pleasure, it’s a whole other matter when it comes to education.
eBookNewser will be following up with CourseSmart later this week to see how things go at CES.
