Coroner: Andrew Breitbart Died of Heart Failure

Conservative activist and editor Andrew Breitbart died of heart failure and hardening of the arteries, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

“No significant trauma was present and foul play is not suspected,” the coroner’s office said in a statement Friday. “It is anticipated that the final Coroner report will be available for release within two weeks.”

No prescription or illegal drugs were found in his system and the cause of death was classified as “natural.”

Breitbart, 43, collapsed while walking near his Brentwood home on March 1 and was pronounced dead at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
