Capitol News Connection’s Chief Correspondent Chad Pergram has won a prestigious regional Edward R. Murrow Award for his news-feature on Tom DeLay’s last speech in the House of Representatives. The piece, ‘Exit Stage Right’, was broadcast June 9, 2006 by CNC subscriber station KUHF, Houston Public Radio.
The first place showing in the “Hard News Feature” category for the Southern region qualifies Pergram’s story for the national Murrow Awards, to be announced in October.
