Comcast Buys Plaxo To Socially Connect Devices

Comcast is buying Plaxo in an effort to add social networking functionality across connected devices. Plaxo will become part of Comcast Interactive Media, which also includes the Comcast.net portal, Fancast video site, Fandango movie info site and online video publisher thePlatform, Reuters reports.

“Every social network is better the more end points you can connect with,” Sam Schwartz, executive VP of Comcast Interactive Media said in a statement. “Plaxo will offer users the ability to share with friends on all Comcast screens going forward.”
