Columbia University Ensures (Some) Jobs Available For Journalism School Grads

Columbia University’s School of Journalism is launching a new online journalism project called New York World, which will “provide New York City citizens with accountability journalism about government operations that affect their lives,” according to a press release.

The news operation will be staffed by faculty and current students as well as up to six recent graduates from the journalism school. “Preference will go to students graduating in May 2011; alumni from recent classes will also be considered.”
