Colorado Lawmakers Consider Bill Banning Employers From Demanding Facebook Passwords

Colorado may become the next state to join the list of those forbidding employers from demanding passwords to Facebook and other social networks, as AP reported that lawmakers in the state are considering a bill along those lines.

Colorado may become the next state to join the list of those forbidding employers from demanding passwords to Facebook and other social networks, as AP reported that lawmakers in the state are considering a bill along those lines.

According to AP, the proposed bill would prohibit employers from demanding access to passwords or account information, but it would not ban employers from viewing employees’ profiles and taking action on content contained therein.
