CNN's Bash Loses Cell Power but Still Breaks Stupak Story

CNN senior congressional correspondent Dana Bash would have broken the news of Rep. Bart Stupak’s (D-Mich.) retirement earlier this morning.

Except for one thing: cell power in rural Michigan isn’t so hot.

Bash has been reporting from Michigan this week because of Tea Party activists campaigning against Stupak. She received word that he was going to retire. But as soon as she got final clearance to report it earlier this morning, she lost her signal. Stupak’s district is really rural (it has more shoreline than any other except Alaska) so there was no service for quite some time.
