President Obama is not giving up on efforts to successfully pass gun control legislation, holding a town hall Thursday evening that will be aired live by CNN at 8 p.m. ET.
The president and CNN anchor Anderson Cooper will discuss the issue of gun control and will take audience questions at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
The town hall is one part of the president’s renewed push to break through the so-far successful Congressional and Republican efforts to stymie his gun control efforts, even on proposals Americans support by overwhelming majorities.
