CNN Mark Whitaker's Long Trip Home

CNN’s Executive Vice President, Mark Whitaker has a new book out called My Long Trip Home. He calls it a “tribute” to his parents, who were an inter-racial couple back when it was illegal for such acts in the 1950’s. He said he always knew that his parents were “interesting people” and he always wanted to tell their story and didn’t have the drive to do it until his father’s passing just a few years ago.
