David Axelrod, the former campaign mastermind and current CNN political commentator, has been hosting a podcast, The Axe Files, since September 2015.
Axelrod had been interviewing politics-oriented guests from his perch atop The University of Chicago Institute of Politics, but the program now has a larger platform. CNN announced today the podcast is part of the CNN podcast network, in partnership with the institute.
The first CNN-distributed episode debuted yesterday, and it features former GOP candidate Jon Huntsman discussing Donald Trump (does anyone discuss anything else these days/months?), the likelihood of Trump getting the GOP nomination, and whether Huntsman would vote for him if he did.
