Politico’s Tal Kopan has been hired by CNN as a digital politics reporter for their breaking news team, announced executive editor of CNN Politics (and former Politico managing editor) Rachel Smolkin in a staff memo.
Kopan, who currently reports on cybersecurity and writes a morning newsletter, joins an ever-expanding list of POLITI-ployees jumping ship to CNN. Smolkin welcomed the newest CNNer to the Digital Politics team on Tuesday morning, tweeting:
