CNN.com Gets New Homepage Editor
CNN.com has named Carl Lavin as its new Lead Homepage Editor. Lavin was most recently National Managing Editor for Main Street Connect, a hyper-local media company. Prior to that he was Managing Editor at Forbes.com for three years.
Lavin posted a memo from Meredith Artley, the Managing Editor of CNN.com, announcing the news on his blog. “He [Lavin] has a reputation for being an inspiring leader who people love to work for and with, an audience-focused editor and an excellent communicator with sterling and swift news judgment,” wrote Artley.
