CNET Networks and Yahoo announced a three-year content-sharing, advertising and search marketing deal to tap into audiences interested in technology and advertisers wanting to reach them.
Under the pact, CNET’s technology product news, reviews and video will be carried on Yahoo Tech and Yahoo News, broadening CNET’s reach and expanding the content available to Yahoo users. CNET will sell ads against its audience on Yahoo properties, while Yahoo will sell display ads across CNET’s brands.
Finally, CNET Download.com, which makes free software, music and game downloads available, will promote Yahoo’s toolbar, exposing it to a wider potential audience. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
