Citysearch, the popular online local restaurant and shopping guide, announced a new beta version of its site tonight, according to The New York Times. The new version lets you search specific neighborhoods in major cities.
In addition, the company also unveiled a new mobile site, which lets users read and write reviews on their mobile devices, and gives them access to menus from participating restaurants, according to the report. That puts Citysearch on a more even keep with Yelp, which has pushed hard into the space as of late.
There are more changes coming down the pike. The report said that early next year, Citysearch will begin to let users upload their own photos and videos to the service, and they also hope to release a native iPhone application as well. All in due time.
