The CIA Joins Twitter and Gets 50,000 Followers in 50 Minutes

Big Brother goes social

The Central Intelligence Agency created a Twitter account today, and the federal fuzz got immediate buzz—50,000 people followed it in its first 50 minutes on the social platform.

It probably stands to reason the CIA was already using the popular site for investigative purposes. So what the agency will actually do with the account—besides author cheeky tweets (see below)—remains to be seen.
