Chris Webber Lends His Talents to PodcastOne

TNT basketball analyst adds Fearless or Insane.

The splendors of the PodcastOne Network continue to amaze and expand. Earlier today, we were listening to the latest episode of Michael Harrison‘s Up Close and Far Out, with special guest (and PodcastOne stablemate) Jay Mohr. Now comes word of another name-brand addition.

From today’s announcement:

Chris Webber believes sports have the power to change the world. The best of sports tenants–sacrifice, teamwork, perseverance, hard work, and passion–transcend sports to help inspire and enhance lives, and Chris will bring it all to his listeners with the help of his star athlete guests.

“It is my hope that this show will both inform and inspire by going beyond the court and the field, and tapping into real life where humanity thrives.”

Adds PodcastOne founder and executive chairman Norm Pattiz: “I’ve known Chris since he was part of the storied rivalry between the Sacramento Kings and the Lakers. In truth, I was rooting against him then. I’m certainly not rooting against him now. I think it’s great that he’s joining PodcastOne, where he can be on the same court as Shaquille O’Neal.”

New episodes will post every Tuesday. Today’s debut broadcast features Reverend Earl Smith, chaplain for the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants and author of the new book Death Row Chaplain.
