Chris Strathmann is heading to NBC News, where he’ll be a senior producer for Nightly News, announced executive producer Sam Singal in a note to staff yesterday.
Strathmann, currently the senior producer of ABC News’ This Week with George Stephanopoulos, has spent the past decade at ABC News. In his previous role at the network, Strathmann also worked with Stephanopoulos, as a producer for Good Morning America.
“Chris’s experience – in the field, in the edit room and as a show leader will be a tremendous asset to our broadcast and I am thrilled to welcome him to Nightly News,” writes Singal.
Strathmann starts mid-January.
