Chris Matthews Compliments Republicans (Sort of)
MSNBC “Hardball” Host Chris Matthews goes out on a limb Monday and pays GOP strategist John Feeherey a compliment: “Congratulations to your party. At least half the crazy people aren’t crazy now.”
Another guest, Mother Jones‘ lefty Bureau Chief David Corn, meanwhile, got off easy. The topic on the table was President Obama‘s new poll numbers and the reduction in birthers since last week. In an oddball moment of being warm to a guest he opposes, Matthews tells Feehrey, “I’m just teasing.”
