Child Killed

Another kid victimized. Meredith Corp. confirmed yesterday that it will fold the print version of Child magazine and — what else is new — keep the title as an Internet-only product.

The result: 30 direct jobs cuts, according to spokesman Art Slusark. as well as an additional 30 jobs throughout the company — most in New York. (According to the Gawkers, six staffers will run the internet thing.)

You’ll recall the company had pulled the magazine off the newsstand last spring, focusing on its in-house quasi-competitors like Parents and American Baby.
