The more careful unbeige reader (and who isn’t?) will remember how way back in the day, back when our enthusiasm was fresh and our reality unspoiled, we came across Charlie White at the Semi-Permanent Conference. We got a little into him. A little maybe too into him. Because his photographs, especially the Joshua series, were so eerie, and so compelling, and so on. Which is why, in the late spirit of unironically supportive posting, we recommend you go see White’s new series, Everything is American.
Andrea Rosen Gallery, 525 West 24th St, Opening reception Friday Jan. 13. Officially open Jan 14-Feb 18.
Seriously. Don’t miss it.
