Changes to <em>CQ-Roll Call</em>'s Legislative Tracking Team

Last week, CQ-Roll Call announced changes to their Legislative Tracking team. Mike Teitelbaum has been promoted to Transcripts editor. Will Matthews has assumed a key leadership role on the schedules team, spearheading the other news events section of Schedules for Daybook Editor Bob Healy. Additionally, Niels Lesniewski and Ben Weyl were welcomed to the team. Memo from John Dineen announcing the changes after the jump. I'm excited to announce some changes to our Legislative Tracking team, which will take effect in the coming weeks. Mike Teitelbaum will be promoted to Transcripts editor. Mike joined CQ as a member of our Research group in 2003 before moving to Floor Votes in 2005 and Committees in 2007. Mike has excelled during his CQ tenure, serving as a great CQ ambassador during while in the House Press Gallery and earning his reputation as one of the hardest-working people in a newsroom full of them. In his new role, Mike will be taking charge of our four transcripts products and helping our account managers and sales reps meet the needs of our growing number of subscribers. Will Matthews has assumed a key leadership role on the schedules team, spearheading the other news events section of Schedules for Daybook Editor Bob Healy. Will joined CQ as a schedules researcher in March 2008 from USAction, where he worked at least part time since 2004 managing the group's Web site. I'm also very pleased to announce two additions to our Legislative Action reporting team, Niels Lesniewski and Ben Weyl. Ben joins Legislative Action from BillTrack, where he earned rave reviews for his real-time and classic work, as well as for the assignments he has taken on for other products, such BillAnalysis, Floor Votes, HealthBeat and CQ Weekly's In Focus and Vantage Point sections. Ben came to CQ in August 2008 after completing a fellowship as a legislative assistant with the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. Niels joins Legislative Action after two-plus years at GalleryWatch spent tracking down documents and contributing to committee coverage for CongressNow. During that time, Niels became known among his colleagues as the "in-house parliamentarian," and he has been called "a walking RSS reader" - high praise in a newsroom like ours. Before joining GW, Niels had been an intern with ABC's "This Week With George Stephanopoulos." Please join me in congratulating Mike, Will, Ben and Niels on their expanded roles.
