Callaway Digital Arts — which has made a name for itself producing apps for Apple’s iPhone and iPad aimed at kids — has entered into a partnership with Martha Stewart.
Stewart and Callaway will collaborate on Martha Stewart Makes Cookies for iPad, a new interactive cooking application aimed at families looking for fun recipes during the holiday season. The app features instructional videos, baking tips and a variety of cooking tools.
CDA executives said the new Martha app would be one of several “high-profile” iPad-centric projects in the works over the coming months. The company, perhaps best know for its series of iPad apps created for the popular Miss Spider’s children’s series, has just raised $6 million in Series A financing from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers’ iFund and several other investors, including Mark Pincus, founder and CEO of Zynga.
