CBS’s Attkisson To Capitol Hill

sharyl.jpgAs CBS reshuffles here in D.C., long-time Washington correspondent Sharyl Attkisson will be taking over for CBS News on the Hill.

Attkisson has been with CBS in D.C. since 1995 and was part of the team that won the 2005 RTNDA-Edward R. Murrow Award in 2005 for Overall Excellence. She also received an Emmy Award (2002) for Outstanding Investigative Journalism for her series of reports about the Red Cross.

Attkisson is the latest “fresh” face on the Hill. ABC News recently announced that Liz Marlantes and George Stephanopoulos will share congressional reporting duties after Linda Douglass‘s departure.

> Earlier the Washington Post installed rising star Jonathan Weisman on the Hill and Fox News promoted Brian Wilson to Congress.
