Causes, Family Tree, Yahoo, Trip Advisor, Birthday Cards, Spotify on this week’s top 20 growing Facebook apps by MAU

There were a variety of applications that grew by monthly active users on our list this week. Everything from Causes to Family Tree, a few Connect apps, quiz apps, dating, cards, Spotify and more filled out the list. The titles on our list gained the most MAU of any apps on the platform, growing from between 300,000 and 1.5 million MAU, based on AppData, our data tracking service covering traffic growth for apps on Facebook. [Third Tab] with 600,000 MAU and Pagemodo Custom Welcome Tab with 500,000 MAU. Causes, which allows users to advocate and fundraise for charities on Facebook, grew by 900,000 MAU. Then genealogy app Family Tree, which works best only when users add more family members, grew by 900,00 MAU. Yahoo’s Connect app grew by 900,000 MAU. Sister apps The Food List Challenge and The Travel List Challenge each grew significantly; 780,000 MAU for the first and 700,000 MAU for the second. The apps essentially work the same way: users select which foods they've tried or places they’ve travelled from a list of 100, publish to the stream, then compare to other users. Today Calendar allows users to tag their friends in a customized 2012 calendar that otherwise just publishes an album of calendar photos to the stream; the app grew by 710,00 MAU. Dating app Are YOU Interested? grew by 700,000 MAU. The Connect integration for TripAdvisor grew by 700,000 MAU. Musician app BandRx grew by 600,000 MAU. RockYou’s Birthday Cards grew by 600,000 MAU; the app allows users to send potentially dozens of birthday cards at once by displaying the users’ friends with birthdays on a given day. Finally, Spotify grew by 600,000 MAU, likely as the result of users' music activity showing up in Ticker and News Feed. All data in this post comes from our traffic tracking service, AppData.
